Being brought in an Indian household and having spent a reasonable part of my life overseas, I got a chance to witness the subtle differences. Indian parenting by far is the most sheltered one. Remember, once a parent is always a parent. Emotionally, I depend on my parents to date; despite the fact that I, myself, am a parent of two.
