A blogger named Rhonda Gessner recently shared a story about a chronically ill woman aimed at making more folks aware of the “killer in your fridge,” that you probably didn’t even know was there. Her sister asked her if she drank diet soda. Oddly enough, she was just getting ready to “crack one open that moment.” Later Cancer.org disclosed some interesting facts about Aspartame!
A woman suddenly became very ill. She began to have severe stomach spasms and was in a constant state of pain.
In March 2002, the woman had several tissue and muscle biopsies performed. At that time, she was already taking 24 prescribed medications, but doctors had no idea what was wrong.
So she began to make plans, putting her oldest possessions in her daughter's name and planned her "last hooray" to Florida for March 22.
The woman immediately stopped drinking diet soda and said "she didn't feel 100%" but her health had majorly improved. She was soon out of her wheelchair in 32 hours and taking only ONE prescribed medication to cure aspartame poisoning.
"Aspartame is used in many foods and beverages because it is about 200 times sweeter than sugar, so much less of it can be used to give the same level of sweetness. This, in turn, lowers the calories in the food or beverage."
It turns out, although aspartame is one of the most powerful artificial sweeteners used as a sugar substitute. Studies show that people were being misdiagnosed with MS when they were suffering from aspartame poisoning.
