In today's film industry, Aamir Khan is a grand name that comes out with some high expectations. But during the beginning of his career, he started off with many movies that would make you shiver with some other-worldly emotion.
Yes, way before he gave the superhits that he is now known for, he had done some crazy movies, like really crazy.
The story goes, two rival businessmen, their children in love and the struggles. This was the most basic story of many of his movies. The movie was loose and incapable of making any mark.
With a really nice concept, about Indian team struggling against Aussies in test cricket, the movie was executed badly, even with legendary actor Dev Anand, a part of it.
Even with some nice comedy and a real good star cast, the old story line of businessmen with children in love and revolting is not acceptable. Also, the movie hosted bad comic acting by almost everyone.
The poster, the name and everything about it sounds and looks like a B-grade adult movie. Meanwhile, dowry was the social issue being raised here. I still can't grasp how they planned to do that.
As if trying very hard to make it work, Juhi and Aamir continuously worked on this one concept of rich businessmen whose child falls in love and revolts, with all the different permutations possible. I just don't understand why.
Another movie follows those regular storylines but it has its own USP, Cruise tour. That was possibly the only thing new, or was it?
This was something new, but it was as much of a disaster too. It also led to Aamir's brother Faizal being imprisoned on grounds of mental instability. What's more is there to say?
Rich thakurs fighting the gypsies, guns, firing, deaths, even more deaths, it's just too wild, like wild, wild west. Wait, was that what they were trying to copy?
Another action packed movie, that turned out to be a disaster. Aamir played a cop, who tried to bust corrupt politicians and take revenge too. Since the beginning till end there is too much fighting, and a little romance.
Most of us have already watched the movie. At times of such competition and reputation, somehow he signed up for it. Although his performance was highly appreciated, those were the only good words heard about the movie.
Couldn't help but put this video for this extremely extraordinary movie.
