A big scientific mystery arose when people started questioning if the brain size could decide a person's proper body functioning or not. The recent revelations of the cases of many people who have thrived well enough with a pea-sized brain.
The case of a 44-year-old civil servant shook the medical fraternity when they found out that the guy has a very tiny brain and is still leading a normal and healthy life with two sons to his name.
The following cases will prove that medical sciences still have a long way to go to compete with nature's miracles.
Scans showed a massive enlargement of the lateral, third, and fourth ventricles, a very thin cortical mantle and a posterior fossa cyst.
Normally, a lot of fluid passes through our brain during our lifetime. But, that fluid is also drained out through a circulatory system. Whereas, in case of this man, the fluid did not drain out and eventually got accumulated in that part leading to very less place left for the actual brain material.
They inserted a shunt into his head to clear out the built-up when he was young. The shunt was removed when he was 14-year-old. These cases prove that our brain size does not signify our IQ and that brain is powerful beyond imagination.
