How would you feel if you see an advertisement, go for that thing and find something else than it was told? Apparently, no one likes to be cheated.
A London woman who was looking for a room in Clapham notices an ad on london2let.com. The advertisement read: We are looking for a friendly, open-minded and outgoing person to join our house share in a great period house in Clapham. We’re a good bunch and like to chill out a lot together – not really looking for somebody that just wants to stay in their room. Room comes with a bed.'
And she went to see a furnished single room. When she reached the house, she got a shock. The room was just a bed under the stairs.
It was just a mattress under the stairs. The rent was £500 per month.
Her post reads: 'I have literally just been shown a bed under the stairs for £500 a month. F you London! #nothanks #privetdrive!?'
She told media: 'My first reaction was shock to be honest. I wish I'd been angrier at him, because I left fairly quickly and politely saying it just wasn't for me. He showed me the room pretty much straight away, so I didn't get to see much of the house itself. I think he said it was three or four others staying there.' 'I don't know much about the housing market, the other places I've seen haven't been right for me but certainly nothing wrong with them. I was warned it was expensive, so ready to pay a lot for even a share, but this is clearly ridiculous.'
