Do you have blue eyes? Or you feel like to having blue eyes?
People are crazy for blue eyes. And the one who have blue eyes get noticed more, even in the crowd. Factors of blue eyes that attract most are its beauty and coldness. Everyone wants to know the reason behind these killer eyes.
Here we answer all your questions by telling you all about blue eyes!
The University of Copenhagen has found that the people have the blue eyes because of genetic mutation. The primary cause of the eye color is that they have a common ancestor. Genetic mutation took place between 6000 and 10000 years ago and is the reason behind the blue eyes of human beings on this planet.
We all have brown eyes naturally. Somehow genetic mutation affects our eye color by affecting the OCA2 gene in our chromosomes that twist the capability to produce brown-colored eyes. This gene codes for P-protein that participate in the formation of melanin pigment. This pigment handles the color of the eyes, hair, and skin. It doesn't turn off the gene but only switch it which results in diluting brown eyes to blue.
The amount of melanin available in the Iris decides the color of the eye from brown to green. If melanin is in high quantity, it will produce more brown color eyes. The people who have blue eyes also have some variations. The research was started in 1996.
Nature handles shuffling of our genes. Just like eye color other mutations does not affect the chances of survival as it does not represent any negative or positive mutation.
Well, the blue color eye is very common in Israel, and it is also the second rarest eye color after green. Some other countries like Germany, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Germany, and the Baltic States also have the blue-eyed people in huge number.
