How can people be so mean and lose respect or dignity for a senior citizen? A video footage of a care home in Birmingham shows the 68-year-old Alzheimer's sufferer being treated so badly by the caretaker.
Bridget McDonald who suffers from Korsakoff's syndrome had been living at The Ridings home for eight years. Her daughter Rachael McDonald's concern towards her mother started growing when she noticed some changes in Bridget. She thought how the caretakers help her mother and wanted to see what actually happens inside. Then she set a hidden camera in a bedside clock inside her mother's room. Later what she found in the footage was shocking.
As seen in the video, a staff Adam Hunt comes to her and shouts 'Next time I call you, don't f****** ignore me. Are we clear? In another clip, he throws a bedsheet on her and commands loudly to make her bed.
Carer Rachel Pritchard also mocks the lady and says, 'It's like teaching a five-year-old', she uses the words 'docile', 'such a baby', 'hopeless' and a 'tramp' to Bridget.
