She was reluctant to nurse in public, she got inspired. Now, she has created an awareness program to normalize the sight of breastfeeding. Leilani Rogers is texas-based photographer launched an intitative called Public Breastfeeding Awareness Project (PBAP). As the world breastfeeding week is going on, she recruited around 50 photographers in U.S., Canada and Ireland to capture the pictures of mothers breastfeeding their children in public places like grocery store, parks, cafes and library.
The beautiful pictures are now being published on Roger's page. It's trending by #PBAP2014 elsewhere. Kayla Gonzales, was thrilled to join Leilani's project. These images will empower every single mother to breastfeed their babies anywhere. Breastfeeding is essential for infant nutrition. Breastfeeding isn't something which any women feel guilt when they do it in public. It's natural way to feed a child, and their intention isn't to ask for attention.
