India Film Project (IFP) is Asia's Largest Film Making competition and the entries for the contest are already open. The competition will be held in Ahemdabad this year from 18 to 26 September, 2015. And to add to the existing fun, two time National Award winner Ketan Mehta is going to be the first jury member of the nail-biting 50-hour competition. The proud director of masterpieces like Manjhi-The Mountain Man, Sardar and Rang Rasiya is pretty excited about the event too. He says, “I’m delighted to be a part of the jury at IFP. It will be a great experience to judge upcoming talent. I think the concept is unique and I look forward to see the great work done by all the passionate movie makers in just 50 hours.”
Films made by more than 14,600 participants from 11 different countries will be judged by many great Bollywood artists, including the Manjhi man too. And for those who don’t know much about the greatest movie making event of the continent, here’s the info of the twist in the contest:
All the teams have to script, shoot, edit and submit the movie in just 50 hours! If you wanna know what the level of films created in the competition is, just have a look at the previous year winners' films. If you believe you can impress Ketan Mehta and other masterminds of the Indian movies, this is a chance not meant to be lost!
If you believe that your team can bring your movie's characters to life just like he does, IFP is the biggest platform for you!
The rest of the jury will be announced very soon. We'll keep you updated with every news related to the event. Hoping to watch more and more amazing short movies from IFP this year. Great luck guys!
