The New iPhone 6S series has been announced by Apple and since that very moment, everyone, including me, is wanting to know more and more about it. Apart from the existing features and hacks of the currently sold series, iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are expected to carry many more stupendous characteristics too. Let’s have a look!
The appearance of the new series is almost the same as the old one, for instance the 4.7 inch screen. But the hardware has been upgraded with a 3-D Touch, enabling the two new features of 'Peek and Pop'. For example, pressing lightly on an element in a message will give "a peek" of more information, popping up like an image.
All thanks to the new, faster chip called the A9, the CPU performance of the phones is expected to hike by 70% and the GPU speed by 90%. This will make playing graphics-intensive games and using such apps easier. Also, "it's been the widely reported speculation" that the 6S series will have a 2 GB RAM.
For the first time, it will capture sharp 4K video at 8 million pixels per frame. The camera will have a 12 MP sensor using advanced pixel technology. This will help the user to shoot sharper photos with truer color and less noise, and that too in low light!
The new feature of Live Photos "captures a still images for 1.5 seconds (a total of 3) on either side of a photo." So, alongside sound, stills can be created into videos and GIFs too!
You might have seen it on an Apple watch, but the pinkish gold color will be given as an option on the 6S case too now.
Apart from allowing the user to make purchases at over "a million participating stores" with Apple Pay using their registered fingerprint, the advanced fingerprint sensor also unlocks the phone easily and securely in comparison to the older series phones.
The announced release date of the actual iPhone 6S in the US, UK and Australia is Friday, September 25, 2015. Pre-ordering however, starts September 12. So, when are you ordering one?
