Staying in a luxurious hotel with friends for business purpose and having a shower after a long tiring day seems to be very refreshing. But it became a nightmare for a guest of Travelodge hotel.
This is a case of a 23-year-old business executive who found a hidden camera in the washroom of Travelodge. She found it extremely disgusting and filed a complaint. What happened next will shock you!
Harmony Hachey hailing from Scotland came to UK with colleagues to arrange for an event. She noticed something very fishy while taking a shower in the Oxford Wheatley Travelodge hotel.
The girl spotted a camera in the aperture of exhaust fan. Initially she felt that she may be wrong but when she got closer, there was a camera pointing towards her.
Hachey used a fork to pull the tape away from the device and she spotted a hidden camera. She was shocked and broken. She felt very offended. The camera was pointing directly at where she had been standing naked in the shower cubicle (left) and she immediately informed the staff.
She charged a complaint and also informed her colleagues who were staying in the same hotel . She explained: 'It was on the first of my three nights. We had had a long day at work and went back to the hotel to have a shower. I put all my luggage down, checked into the room, got myself ready for a shower and as I got ready for the shower I noticed a vent next to the shower head. It looked a little suspicious to me, like a camera, but I tried to convince myself that I was crazy and that it wasn't the case so I continued to have a shower and got it over as quickly as possible because I wanted to investigate what was in the vent. When I got out of the shower, I poked around in the vent a little bit and the camera was being held up by white tape and it looked like it was trying to be hidden. I pulled the tape away and it was blatantly obvious it was a camera pointing at me while I was showering.'
A receptionist went to investigate and found that vent of the device was actually attached to the cupboard of a custodian. Hachey submitted a statement to the police. The representative of Travelodge apologized for the hidden device found in the washroom and has confirmed that the device is inoperative and has been used only for maintenance purpose.
