Lauren, 23 was 18 when she knew that she had tumor in her pancreas. It was tough for her to realize that she had a cancerous tumor. She went through her first surgery just the day after her 19th birthday. In the first surgery, her tumor, gall bladder, two thirds of pancreas and they patched her spleen which was attached with tumor. Cancer still hadn't left her yet. After one and half years, her patch got thin and her spleen grew thrice in size. She went for another surgery in May 2011 and got her spleen removed . She didn't gave up when Cancer attacked not once but twice. She fought with Cancer and won. She lives like any other girl with some parts less. After many Catscans, medications and tests later, she is cancer free now. If she can do it, you can also do it. We shared this awesome story from I Had Cancer , which is cancer support community to empower people to take control of life before ,during and after Cancer.
