The pain was not really what she thought it was

The pain was not really what she thought it was

Sadly, she never knew that she was pregnant and because of that as is obvious she didn't have any child. But her pain of lump in the belly grew and due to arthritis, she had a fall and then she thought it would be good to get some x-days done. The local doctors going by the x-ray report that it was something very serious.

Clarify the doubt always

Clarify the doubt always

Doctors thought at first that it was a tumor but after another X-ray they realized that it was actually a fetus and also the fact that it had been there for over a decade. It was a situation that shocked almost everyone. Hard to believe, yes, but it did happen.

Miracles do occur

Miracles do occur

People would not be able to believe it but Lithopedion, a phenomenon where the foetus dies during pregnancy but it calcifies as it's very large to be absorbed. And since its calcified it does not pose any risk to the woman, as it would pose in any normal situation, likely that possibility of her death.

I had a child but didn't.

 I had a child but didn't.

The couple, Estela Meléndez and Manuel Gonzàlez had a great regret in their lives and it was not having any children, as was told to CNN by her. It's sad to know that you don't have a child, who's your almost everything, your support and love. But it's sadder when you didn't know that you actually had that child a long time ago, but never knew. Her husband died in January and he didn't even get to know the fact that he had a child once, that was never born but did exist inside his wife's uterus.

The child that remains

The child that remains

Considering the fact that it's been a very long time since the foetus was inside her and she has grown up to the beautiful age of 91, the doctors believe it would be highly risky to operate on her given her age. The operation can pose a very high risk to her life with a high possibility of death. Since the foetus is calcified it doesn't pose any serious problem to her. The local doctors have decided that the foetus would stay inside her.

The sadness will be attached forever

The sadness will be attached forever

As was reported by Estela Meléndez, the foetus did ache quite a lot of times. It was painful, the pain of it but what is more sad is the fact that she is reminded about her broken dream, her and her husband's dream of having a child, after such a long time and sadly she will carry the dream within her forever. It aches her not just physically, but mentally, it disturbs her and reminds her of her sad past.

I never knew

I never knew

Just imagine if you're pregnant and you don't even know. Do you think that it's not possible? Sadly, it is possible, very possible. Recently a rare case of a woman not knowing that she was pregnant for so many years came into highlight and it shocked quite a lot of people. She thought it was just a lump in her belly.
