She was wandering alone on the island of Crete, Greece. Two unknown men came to her and asked her out for a drink. When she refused, one of the men violently grabbed her arm and tried to pull her.
The dog ran up and started barking at the men until they were scared and left the girl. Georgia felt thankful for the dog who saved her life. But soon she had to fly back to UK, so she left her savior on the island whom she named Pepper. "When we left to go to the airport, we looked back and Pepper was running after the car. It was heartbreaking," she says.
After reaching back to UK, Georgia decided to take a huge risk. Two weeks later, she went to the island of Crete in search of the dog with whom she established an immediate connection at the first sight. And, fortunately, she found her savior.
She wanted Pepper to live with her, but there was a long procedure to take the dog with her. Pepper needed to get vaccination and a pet passport. Georgia also had to spend 21 days in quarantine before the dog being able to fly to the UK. She, returned home and flew back for the third time to take Pepper.
Georgia didn't wait and took Pepper home where she delivered little adorable babies.
"It has been such a crazy journey. But I am over the moon," Georgia says. "Pepper has settled in brilliantly."
