The only thing that we can tell about Robert Downey Jr. apart from Tony Stark is the Iron Man suit. Because, just as Stark, he is witty, sarcastic, humorous and the biggest of them all - he doesn't care about what others say. They say that a troubled past can either take over you or, you can use it in the right way and join the league of the world-renowned personalities. Now, we can’t say for sure where Robert Downey Jr. got his charisma from, what we do know is that he too has had a rough patch in his life. But, he comes in the second category of people - the ones who joined the league of world-renowned personalities. Throwing light on his witty and carefree self we bring to you 10 of his epic replies where he proved that "He Is The Boss'.
"As long as I stick around I'm going to end up with a bunch of them anyway as they're going to run out of people to give them to. And I'm probably going to win it one year when someone else deserves to win it. Why? Because it's my time, goddamnit. And that's the way sh*t works around here. I'm just an uptight mutt at the top of his game. Welcome to Hollywood, bitch! I'll see you at the Vanity Fair party and I'll be holding that golden statue you deserve 'cause guess what? It happened to me too!"
"Do I want to be a hero to my son? No. I would like to be a very real human being. That's hard enough."
"Growing up, no, but in my mid-30's in Palm Springs right before my arrest, yes."
"The greatest thing my dad taught me came one day when I called him from a phone booth and said, 'Hungry. No bus token. Please. Out of options. Friends aren't picking up the phone.' He said, 'Perfect, get a job.'"
"That's enough. This is embarrassing. You're embarrassing yourself."
"It's like I have a loaded gun in my mouth, and I like the taste of metal."
I've become a picky little bitch. I've never bothered to plan projects before. I just used to throw the script across the room and say, "Why do they keep sending me this horseshit?" And then I'd start rehearsals two weeks later.
"I just thought he was a dick, that's all. And I still do. You know, and that could be something that has to do with me, or it could just be that not everyone in this industry is someone I'd care to hang out with."
"I know very little about acting. I'm just an incredibly gifted faker."
"I think it's miraculous that anybody survives themselves."
