The Molai Forest in Assam,India is very unusual for some things. The 1360 acres land is on sand bar, and is planted by one man who worked constantly for past 35 years. Jadav Payeng entirely planted the complete 1360 acre land . Jadhav, a forestry worker is working since 1979 on this forest.
This forest has provided habitat to several endangered animals who are herd of 100 animals (which has now given birth to an additional ten), Bengal tigers, rhinoceroses and a species of vultures. Jadev Payeng has dedicated his entire life for the well being of environment.
Document filmmaker William Douglas McMaster wrote and directed a documentary on Jadav Payeng titled Forest Man from the perspective of Jadav's photographer Jitu Kalita. It won best documentary award in Cannes Film Festival, 2014. This man gave 35 years of his life for the love of environment , can we give 1 day?
