Alex was just six-year-old when he thought of building treehouses. When he grew up and got trained as an architect, he began working on his dream project. After a few years, he made it happen. He came up with the name ‘Tentsile’ which is a tensioned-spider web type structure clad in the fabric. Tentsile tree tents are the portable treehouses that have three anchor points to create a volume of suspended dwelling.
Alex spent a long time to create the best camping equipment ever. He researched on the qualities of fabrics and teamed up with a designer Kirk. Their combined effort made their hammock simpler, lighter, and more importantly affordable. They named their Tentsile’s flagship model – the Stingray. Stingray is Tentsile’s first production model tree tent that is available with multi-colored waterproof flysheets.
The success of Alex and Kirk was not an overnight process. They researched for years, tested a lot and failed fourteen times before launching the Stingray. Now, their amazing flying tents are widely prevalent. These tents provide shelter without any negative environmental impact. So, these are quite useful for the victims of natural disasters as well. The tents are often provided to the affected areas.
