Lately, the size of houses in America has been getting bigger, as the style of living has become more modern, with top class facilities available at everyone's disposal.
However, there are still people who choose to live away from the crowd and the loud city noise. Talking generally, the big houses might give us more security and comfort, but the smaller ones give us a lot of financial freedom, independence and most importantly, peace.
As they say, the thing that matters most is how much we value our relationships and not how bigger the houses we own.
Christopher Smith and Merete Muller, a couple from Colorado held on to a thought of having a house far away and did incredibly well setting up a Mobile Home in South Park Valley, situated on the outskirts of Colorado.
Watch out the following pictures, watching how they successfully built their 124 square feet home which took almost a year to construct.
Christoper Carson Smith had bought this small area of land of 124 square feet when he was still a graduate student. As he always had dreamt of building a home of his own, his plan was to finish the construction within three months, however, the process took him almost a year.
The couple went to many hardware stores to seek assistance from the employees. Christopher also searched many YouTube videos in order to take some help.
''Both of us moved and traveled a lot throughout our 20s, so neither one of us owned that much stuff to begin with.''
''It is about the people you surround yourself with, and how it feels to spend time there.''
''We treat life as an experiment, rather than a series of dead-end decisions.''
''The quality of our life doesn't depend on how big our houses are and how much the stuff we own, it depends on our life experiences and the quality of our relationships.''
