Karnataka state election results were no less than a filmy drama. From hung Assembly to late night courtroom battle, which resulted in BJP's BS Yeddyurappa as the Chief Minister, this election had it all. And on Thursday morning (May 17), Yeddyurappa took the oath Karnataka's 23rd Chief Minister at Raj Bhawan.
On May 16, Governor Vala had invited the BJP to form the government despite the strength of alliance numbers. Till around 10 am BJP had emerged as the single largest party in Karnataka, but by the end of the day, everything fell silent and the election resulted in a hung assembly. With the BJP winning in 104 seats, the Congress approached the JD(S) for the alliance.
Many Congress leaders including former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Mallikarjun Kharge and Ghulam Nabi Azad protested against the swearing-in. But that's not all. Here's how social media reacted to what transpired:

BJP happy with the outcome.
