Marriage is surely a covenant but at times it breaks, and things go south leading to the shattering of two lives. This can happen to anyone and the reasons remain unique to every couple breaking up. If you see, even the star cricketers have experienced the darker side of a married life that ended with divorces and second marriages.
Now, before we quickly jump on to finding those cricketers' names and judging their choices, I wish to acknowledge you with the fact that we must not have a say in someone's private affairs. They're stars and they've all made their nations proud by the way they played and entertained us. So, nothing like this should even come close to taint their image.

The leading Pakistani pacer (a promoter of the Test cricket format) of his time who was always seen as a legend in the game had a troubled time when his first wife Huma Mufti passed away due to multiple organ failures. He was married to Huma for 14 years from 1995-09.
The former bowler, 51, and now a TV commentator again found love in a former public relations consultant, Shaniera Thompson, and married her in 2013.
This one was a headliner with almost every news channel in India and Pakistan covering their marriage. Some were against a Pakistani cricketer marrying an Indian star Tennis sensation, but their love successfully shut every hater up.
But hang on, that was just half the controversy. Just when they both got married, rose a complaint out of nowhere from a woman named Ayesha Siddiqui (her picture is not included) claiming that Shoaib married her back in 2002. Shoaib had to give her divorce after that.
Sir Imran was married to Jemima Goldsmith for a good 9 years before it was claimed that Jemima had some problems adjusting in Pakistan that led to the end of their marriage. Again, in the year 2015, Imran surprised the world twice by marrying and divorcing the Libya born journalist Reham Khan in a matter of 9 months.
Interesting fact: Both of his wives were 21 years younger than him.
Australian attacking bowler and speed king Brett Lee married Elizabeth Kemp in 2006, but they divorced just in a matter of 2+ years. After that, Brett married Lana Anderson in 2014. His name was also attached to the actress of movie Unindian Tannishtha Chatterjee after their steamy scenes surfaced.
The successful cricketer turned politician Mohd Azhar married Naureen with whom he had two sons. Later, his personal life hit a major controversy when he divorced Naureen to marry actress Sangeeta Bijlani in 1996. However, the beautiful and glamorous couple had to call it quits in 2010 when Azhar's name was attached to that of shuttler Gutta Jwala's.
Now this one's a shocker!
But before discussing the shocking part, lemme tell you that Dinesh is today very happily married to India's best female Squash player Deepika Pallikal who can definitely win a Gold medal for India if Squash is added to the Olympic games in the future. The lovebirds married in the year 2015 after having met each other in 2008 in a marathon event and later in a gym where they both used to go.
Moving on, let's get to know what went wrong with Dinesh's first marriage.
In the year 2007, star cricketer Dinesh Karthik married his childhood friend Nikita Vanjara. However, no one knew that the meeting between Dinesh, Murali Vijay (who were playing Ranji Trophy matches in Tamil Nadu) and Nikita back in 2006 would come back to haunt their married life.
In the year 2012, while Nikita was pregnant, Dinesh allegedly discovered that his wife has an affair with his international teammate Murali Vijay and that was enough for them to get a divorce. Later in 2013, Murali married Nikita and the interesting part being, both the couples never openly said anything about this whole chaos. But yes, this definitely impacted the friendship of Dinesh and Murali.
To everyone's shock, Jonty's 19-year marriage with Kate McCarthy came to an end in 2013 after which he married Melanie Wolf the very next year. If you don't know, Jonty was extremely popular for his acrobatics in fielding the ball during his days in the international cricket for South Africa.
Under Sourav Ganguly's captaincy, this man's bowling attack took India to the final match of World Cup 2003. He was married to Jyothsna and later got divorced to marry a journalist Madhavi Patravali in the year 2008.
Vinod married his childhood sweetheart Noella Lewis in 1998 when he was still in the Indian side. But later, things did not go well and he got a divorce only to marry a former model Andrea Hewitt.
Srilankan opener and smashing batsman Sanath Jayasuriya married Sumudhu Karunanayake in the year 1998 only to get divorced in a year's time. Later, he married Sandra (in the picture) in 2000, and their marriage too saw an end in the year 2012.
The man who hit six sixes in an over in a T20 international match, Yuvraj Singh's father Mr Yograj Singh also had two marriages. He got married to Shabnam (in the picture above) but allegedly did not like her wish to pursue her dreams rather than being a housewife. This led to the end of their marriage, and Mr Yograj later married Satveer Kaur.
