Marriages are made in heaven, but we officially announce a union of two souls and celebrate it with utmost zeal and enthusiasm on D-day.
People from all walks of life plan their big day with a lot of excitement, but there are also some who believe in simplicity. To them what matters is the presence of their better half and nothing else. Recently, India witnessed one such wedding.
Jyotsna and Sachin got married on a train, that too in the presence of the Art of Living Founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar who recited the mantras.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is on a spiritual journey called Om Anugrah Yatra. During this Yatra, he will travel through Sarnath, Gorakhpur and Shravasti and will end his journey in Lucknow.
The spiritual leader gave and sought blessings from people during the journey. His devotees were seen singing and dancing.
In 2014, when Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was asked:
If a boy and a girl are getting married, should horoscopes be matched or not?
What is the importance of matching horoscope when it comes to marriage? Is it necessary to match horoscopes for a good marriage?
The spiritual Guru's simple response was:
"You can match horoscopes, it is fine. If there is a match it is really good, but if the horoscopes don't match, it is okay. Check if the horoscopes are correct or not. Sometimes they are manipulated to suit someone's needs. If you like someone in all other aspects, and everything seems okay, then it's fine, you should go ahead and marry the person. Just pray! Everything is acceptable."
Someone had asked, "My parents are insisting me to get married. Will I be able to make my wife happy after enlightenment?
To which he said, "It is better to get enlightened together!"
That's all people.
