Google is the one stop for everything. It was found on September 4, 1998, by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. It got it's name from the misspelling "googol" which was picked to signify that it provided loads of information. And it does provide you with all the information that you want to know or even don't. From a child to an adult, everyone uses Google for something or the other. It has everything from recipes to projects to fabulous ideas to information about famous personalities, history, critical days and what not?
The importance of Google is ever increasing. The prime reason for Google's main page to be so simple is that the founders didn't know HTML. But on important days there is the Google Doodle, a temporary alteration. The first-ever Google Doodle was in honour of the Burning Man Festival 1998. Google also holds the "Doodle 4 Google competition" and the winners doodle is displayed on the web page.

In 2007, they provided TiSP ( Toilet Internet Service Provider) where one could get internet service by flushing one end of fibre optic cable down the toilet.
