In today's times, you don't run after jobs neither do your friends. You want to do big, start big, and that is why you think big.
You aspire to become an entrepreneur who will become a part of one or several startups and shoot to success one day. But, triumph in your endeavours just doesn't come from your idea, and you don't experience victory unless you have experience in all the related fields.
ALL, yes, you read that correctly.
A job requires specific knowledge about a particular field, not the case with business or startups for that matter. You should be aware of how the ecosystem of commerce, management, and economics works. Along with that, you need business acumen, problem-solving skills, etcetera.
Is that too much to ask?
Well, acquiring all that knowledge would require years from you, and you live in the instant generation where everything you want is available with a click. Or, at least by the time you graduate, you should be capable enough to succeed as an entrepreneur, right? Here's one solution to it.
Your participation in college festivals is the best way to grab knowledge in abundance, test it, experiment with it, and then, finally implement it in real life. You meet the best kind of competition there and also learn how to deal with the real world.
The festival you'll be reading about today includes academic seminars featuring prominent conglomerates and start-ups such as EY, BSE, Swiggy, Zomato, Ola, among others to intense management simulations. Here you go!
Every February, the Xavier's Commerce Society organises its flagship event, "Insignia", an international level Inter-College Management Festival which happens to be the biggest of its kind at the undergraduate level in East India.
Insignia attracts participation from premier commerce, management, and economics colleges of the country as well as abroad, and audiences in large numbers.
Insignia has also been host to eminent personalities in the past such as Biswa Kalyan Rath, Kenny Sebastian, the cast of TVF Pitchers, Rahul Bose, Suhel Seth, Justice Markandey Katju and Papa CJ to name a few, who have inspired the youth of this generation to great extents.
The theme for Insignia 2018 is based on the sprawling metropolis of Las Vegas and the intricacies of management that have made it a landmark destination of the world in the form of the myriad hotels and casinos that dominate its streets, making it the entertainment capital of the world.
Taking inspiration from this unique city, Insignia 2018 aims to draw a parallel across contrasting dimensions of management, both in theory and practice, and replicating it in the form of challenging simulations that ultimately culminate in the happening of a grand management festival like none other.
Be there, or be there!
