20 Weird Fears We All Grew Up With

We all had bizarre fears in childhood. We still have a few of them. Be it slipping from skateboard and crashing into a tree or finding a ghost beyond the bed if we slept without brushing our teeth, we all grew up with similar phobias. Some were just weird and came from nowhere, while others were implanted in our minds by our parents to improve our childhood bad habits.

Artist Fran Krause asked people about their weirdest fears and came up with comics depicting the same. You might have felt of your fears to be stupid, but they aren't uncommon at all.

Check out how many of these horrors you had as a child!

#2) The fear of injuring oneself while using a knife.

This fear mostly came from watching movies, where a knife would drop on the girl's leg while she'll be trying to hide from an ghost in her house. Somewhere with such movies, fear entered our minds.

#3) Worms in the nose which bite when picked.

Kids love picking their nose for no reason. It's one of their favorite past time, giving no damn to hygiene their mothers taught them to maintain. The best weapon parents come up with is to tell their kids about a worm who lives inside their nose which would bite if they try to pick their nose. Funny, some kids are too afraid to get back to their hobby again.

#4) Slipping and falling on an iron fence.

This is one of the most common fears people have. Thanks to movie series 'The Final Destination' for bringing us to the world of vivid imaginations of dying in the bizarre most ways possible.
