A wise man once said that chains do not hold a marriage together. It is the threads, hundreds of tiny threads, that sew people together through the years.
When it comes to couple goals, our celebrities are the best example of it. But as we look back, we have seen many popular couples end their marriage. Many of them left us fans shocked, and I am one such fan.
It is believed that relations in Bollywood are often just a fling. But let me tell you, this isn't true. There are many couples in Bollywood who have stood by each other even after their separation. They might have moved on to a new partner, but they still handle their responsibilities well.
But what if someone asked you which Bollywood couple you want to get back together? Well, here is my list.
Female actor Kalki Koechlin met film-maker Anurag Kashyap during her debut film Dev D in 2009. The couple then got hitched in 2013 but the marriage lasted for only two years and they filed a divorce in 2015.
In a conversation with India Today, Anurag Kashyap revealed, "She gave me six years of her life. I respect her for what she is; she really changed my life. Even if she left me, it's because the shortcoming is in me... I am not good at relationships. Every person has a weakness and strength... But yes, for me, there is a no bigger loss that Kalki is not with me today."
After 16 years of togetherness, Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani Akhtar announced their separation in 2016.
They met each other during the shoot of Farhan Akhtar's directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai, which was also Adhuna's debut as a Bollywood hairstylist. Reports suggest that Farhan and his friends would visit Adhuna's salon every week, either to get a haircut or to change the hair colour. And all this because he was falling for the lady. So adorable!
Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan got married in 2000 and they have two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan. In December 2013, the couple announced that they are getting separated.
But even after their divorce, the couple is often seen hanging out together with their sons. No matter what happens in their personal life, they never miss a chance to stand by each other. On Hrithik Roshan's recent birthday, Sussanne Khan posted a picture with the caption, "Forever and always you stay the sunshine in my life... Happy happiest birthday."
I still remember the sizzling chemistry between Karan Singh Grover And Jennifer Winget in the show Dill Mill Gayye. It was their chemistry that brought skyrocketing TRP for the show.
The couple got married in 2012, but in 2014 they declared that they have separated. Karan Singh Grover is now married to actor Bipasha Basu.
Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur tied the knot in 2003. The couple has two children, Samiera and Kiaan Raj. After a lot of personal issues, they filed a petition for divorce in 2014 after mutual consent. They now share a positive relationship.
Konkona Sen Sharma and Ranvir Shorey started dating each other in 2007 and got married in a private ceremony in 2010. They have a son Haroon. The couple is known as 'Not Man & Wife, But Friends For Life' because even after their separation in 2015, they share a remarkable friendship.
Malaika Arora met actor-director-producer Arbaaz Khan during a coffee advertisement shoot. The couple then tied the knot in 1998. They have a son Arhaan. The couple separated in 2017.
What is worth appreciating about the couple is that the split has not affected their bond with their son. "Arbaaz is a part of my family, the father of my child. Certain equations don't change overnight," she said in an interview with NDTV.
Manisha Koirala and Samrat Dahal got married in 2010 in a traditional ceremony which was held in Kathmandu. They met each other through social networking website Facebook, but due to some reasons, the couple got divorced in 2012.
While talking about her film, Dear Maya, Manisha Koirala said in an interview to Times Now, "With time, one's perception and needs towards life changes. But when somebody is in love or in hope of love, you automatically start looking beautiful. There is a glow and smile on the face. When one is loved in life, you can see the change. Love has magic."
Actor Pooja Bhatt married Manish Makhija in 2003. Later in 2014, Pooja Bhatt announced that she is ending her 11-year-old marriage.
"To all those who care and especially those that don't my husband Munna and me have decided to part ways after 11 glorious years of marriage. Our split as some might call it is amicable and we hold each other in the highest esteem for now and forever," Pooja had tweeted.
In an interview with Simi Garewal on Rendezvous, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh were seen holding hands through the episode. An aww moment indeed.
It's been more than 10 years that the couple has separated and since then they have maintained a solemn silence. They never spoke about what went wrong in their relationship.
Saif Ali Khan is now happily married to Kareena Kapoor Khan. The couple was blessed with a baby boy Taimur Ali Khan in 2016.
Well, all these couples had a great time together. Though they have parted their ways, they will always be a good remembrance of each other's life.
That's all, readers. I hope you liked the story.
