Malala Yousafzai and Tim Cook.

Two of the most visionary and globally recognised icons have joined hands, and it is not for a collaboration that would render personal benefits to them. With Malala being the youngest ever Nobel Laureate and Tim Cook being the CEO of one of the topmost MNCs in the world, this coalition is for something big, something better and something that is going to bring a smile on everyone's face.

Education for girls has been a hurdle at the global level, and a cause very close to Malala's heart. Apple and Malala Fund have now joined hands to overcome this hurdle, to provide free higher education to over a 100,000 girls.

Founded by Malala herself, with the support of her father Ziauddin, the fund aims at providing "free, safe and quality education" to the girls living in struggling countries. This is done to make people realise the importance of education and also to push these girls to making an identity of their own.

The Malala Fund is looking for opportunities to expand its reach in India and Latin America. Apple is going to help them by assisting with technology, curriculum, and research into policy changes. Although the amount of donation has not been declared yet, Tim Cook is now a part of the Fund's leadership council

In a press release, the visionary Malala was heard saying:

"My dream is for every girl to choose her own future. I am grateful that Apple knows the value of investing in girls and is joining Malala Fund in the fight to ensure all girls can learn and lead without fear."

"We believe that education is a great equalizing force, and we share Malala Fund's commitment to give every girl an opportunity to go to school," Apple CEO Tim Cook added. "Malala is a courageous advocate for equality. She's one of the most inspiring figures of our time, and we are honoured to help her extend the important work she is doing to empower girls around the world."
