It is every woman's dream to don a Sabyasachi Mukherjee outfit on her wedding day. As a girl, even I am obsessed with Sabyasachi's unique collection of designer lehengas that make every bride look her best on her wedding.
Recently, Anushka Sharma's wedding was referred to as the 'Sabyasachi Wedding' where most of the outfits worn by the couple in their functions were a part of the designer's exclusive range. Not to forget, both Virat and Anushka looked as if they have walked straight out of a fairy tale and the details of all their outfits were posted on Sabyasachi's official Instagram page.
There have been many other Bollywood actors who have chosen Sabyasachi over other designers. Here are some of my favourites:
Sagarika and Zaheer got married in a very simple ceremony, but their reception was a grand and lavish one. Sagarika opted for a white and golden lehenga which perfectly complemented her complexion and made her look more beautiful.
Anushka chose to wear Sabyasachi for her engagement, wedding and Delhi reception. She looked beautiful in a colourful lehenga that she wore in her mehendi function, but it was her wedding outfit that made the Internet go gaga.
After taking a look at Amrita's gorgeous lehenga I have only one thing to say, "Sabyasachi you are more than just a designer, you are an artist and this is by far one of your most well-executed art."
Amrita's lehenga was not an ordinary lehenga. It was made with one hundred and eleven colours of silk thread. She donned it beautifully with just the right jewellery and looked so freaking pretty.
The Pataudi princess wore a Sabyasachi as she took the wedding vows with her beau Kunal Khemu. Soha's outfit had the perfect blend of simplicity and grace. Her entire look, including the heavy jewellery, made her look no less than a Nawabi princess that she is.
Bengali beauty Bipasha Basu also donned a Sabyasachi outfit at her wedding. Given the fact that she has some deep-rooted lineage with tradition, Bipasha opted for a basic red lehenga but it was a true masterpiece in itself.
This famous South Indian actress chose a golden and beige colour lehenga for the most important day of her life. Designer Sabyasachi very cleverly added a hint of maroon in the beautifully embroidered borders of her outfit. Asin looked simply gorgeous at her wedding with Rahul Sharma.
Vidya Balan is another Sabyasachi fan. For her wedding, she left it all on the instinct of the designer. Even for the outfits she wore post her wedding. Vidya chose a simple yet radiant red Banarasi saree for her wedding.
Aamna has a natural blush and her beauty has never failed to amaze her fans. On her wedding day, she also opted for a red Sabyasachi lehenga which had golden embroidered work all over. The highlight of her outfit was the peach dupatta that I haven't seen any other actor carry so well.
Samantha wore an ivory gold Kanjeevaram saree which was from Sabyasachi's Vasanthalaxmi Collection. She paired it with a red embroidered blouse and completed her look with a proper gajra and jewellery.
Nafisa Ali's daughter Pia Sodhi experimented with pastel colours for her wedding outfit and picked an egg blue lehenga. The entire outfit and look were from Sabyasachi's Devi Collection.
That's all people.
If you know any other Sabyasachi that we missed, let us know in the comment section.
