Dear fellow writers,

I know how daunting and difficult it can be when it comes to dealing with people who judge you for loving the sound of keys beneath your fingers or a pencil scratching the surface of a paper that you proudly call your 'canvas'.

The world will never understand the struggle of putting right words in the right place and the urge to deliver the right message. Not everyone knows how it feels to have your heart and your soul literally poured into a piece of writing that you can call your baby.

A writer is special.

A writer is different.

Most of the population loves your art of sewing words that appear scattered in other people's mind.

Here's why the world should thank you:

1. Thanks for writing

1. Thanks for writing

Thanks for having the courage and confidence that you can actually do it. Thanks for always letting your words flow, we as writers of today are writing the masterpieces that people will read tomorrow.

Writers of classical fiction never knew their ordinary piece of writing would touch someone's heart someday but they had faith in themselves and that is why we are able to read them today.

Sometimes it gets difficult for you to shut this world and enter the world where you can be yourself, not bound by expectations and responsibilities. Thanks for allowing those thoughts to take shape and create a whole new universe which is a much better place and state to be in.

Writing in isolation, facing all those rejections and publishing stories with pathetic humour.

All writers have been there and have done that.

But, my favourites are the ones who fell but stood up only to create a better form of art that I'm sure the world will remember.

I don't know most of you, I haven't met any of you. But, I have read your work, I am connected to you. Thanks for letting that happen.

I have had those days when words never came out of my mouth or great ideas never popped in my stubborn mind but I embraced it all, and you know what helped me the most during writer's block? It was the work of writers like you that gave me the little push that I needed.

As a writer myself, I cannot imagine this world without writers.

Whoever you are, whatever you do, if you write I am thankful to you.
