Ajnabi mujhko itna bata, dil mera kyun pareshan hai...
Remember this track which starred Ajay Devgn and Kajol in it? The famous period song was shot in the romantic film Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, directed by Anees Bazmee. The entire plot of the film is a usual romance drama where the protagonist leaves her fiance and eventually marries to someone who she obviously meets by chance.
Amidst great actors, there was one supporting character in the film, and he was none other than Bijay Anand, an actor who played the role of Kajol's lover Rahul. Read further to see how the period actor has transformed immensely.
Surprisingly, that struggle did not go in vain, and Bijay started getting many roles after the film. In an interview, he mentioned that he had an offer to sign 22 films at the same time.
Many filmmakers critically appreciated Bijay, but he had made his mind of not taking up acting as a career after that.
Bijay had been a part of 1996's film 'Yash' before he was acclaimed for his role as Rahul alongside Kajol.
Surprised? Yes, that was my reaction too. Bijay was recently seen in Star Plus' mythology show 'Siya Ke Ram' as King Janak.
He dedicated 17 years to Kundalini Yoga. At the age of 36, Bijay suffered from Arthritis, and that's when he decided to dedicate his time and attention to his health. Today, Bijay is known as a veteran Yoga teacher.
Sonali Khare, a Marathi film actress is his wife.
Here are some cute pictures from Bijay's Instagram profile for you to have a look.
That's all, people.
