We know about the celebs who died of cancer or were shot dead. We can even list down the name of renowned personalities who lost their lives in terror attacks or died on the spot in tragic accidents.
But friends, a very few of us know about the famous personalities who became the victim of world's highly dangerous disease and is still considered an incurable one. Yes, you guessed that right. The disease I am talking about is AIDS. And you will be shocked to know that many famous personalities from various walks of life have fallen prey to AIDS.
The list of these celebs include famous actors, actresses, musicians et al. So, let's take a look to know about these celebrities, who died of AIDS.
Arthur Ashe aka Arthur Robert Ashe Jr, was one of the most successful Tennis players in America. He was the first black player ever to have got selected for the United States Davis Cup team. And Arthur was the only black man ever to win the singles title at Wimbledon, the US Open, and the Australian Open.
You will be shocked to know how Ashe got trapped by HIV.
It is said that Ashe contracted HIV from a blood transfusion he received when he underwent a heart bypass surgery. On February 6, 1993, Arthur died at the age of 49.
The next in the list is a popular Indian actress who became a victim of AIDS and died an early death.
She was the most popular South Indian actress in 80s and was known for her brilliant acting skills. But soon Nisha's fate took an ugly turn, and she started facing a decline in her career. It is said that a film producer forced Nisha to get into prostitution and that is where Nisha had to bid a goodbye to her shining career in film industry.
Nisha's picture from her last days will make you feel pity for this departed soul. Check it in the next slide.
If reports are to be believed, Nisha died in a local hospital in Nagaur in the year 2007.
Model in the next slide was once considered as the most beautiful American fashion model.
She was 26 when she became the victim of AIDS. Gia became a supermodel in the very beginning of her career. She was associated with almost every leading brand then. But Gia's inclination towards drugs spoiled her career.
Soon after, Gia died on November 18, 1986.
Pedro Zamora aka Pedro Pablo Zamora was Cuban-American TV personality, who was also known as an AIDS educator who worked in the direction of creating awareness among the public, regarding this life taking disease AIDS.
Zamora during his appearance on MTV's reality television series, The Real World: San Francisco, revealed about being HIV positive and he also openly accepted being a Gay.

Pedro took his last breath on November 11, 1994. It is said that Pedro received this deadly virus from his gay partner. Soon after Pedro's death, his partner also died of AIDS.
Celeb in the next slide was a part of America's leading music band.
Ricky was a guitarist in America's leading music band 'The B-52's' in the 80s. He was diagnosed with AIDS in the year 1983.
