Meet these amazing people who were patient and determined enough to grow super-long locks.
Many times long hair affects health due to their heavy weight. Everyday tying and combing them takes hours. But, these people kept their resolution to grow long hair. Some of them even donated it to the cancer patients. Asha Mandel is the world record holder for the longest hair in the world while the record for the longest mohawk hairstyle is held by Kazuhiro Watanabe.
Some of them have achieved the Guinness world record and some of them aspire to break the same in future!
She is also known as the black Rapunzel and her locks measure whopping 19 feet and 6 inches! Asha started growing her hair around 25 years ago and one of her hair strands is even 55 ft long.
Her huge locks weigh around 25 pounds and she has been warned by doctors that her heavy locks can paralyze her. Asha has her fans across the globe and even sells a secret hair formula on her website.
Mother of two, Ni Linmei has to stand on a chair to comb her 8 ft long hair.
She is 4 ft 11 in tall and her hair is 3 ft 4 in long.
Her hair might not be record breaking, but they are beautiful enough to make her friends jealous of her.
45-year-old Terelynn Russel from Illinois is an inspiration for her daughters. With her six feet long hair, she regularly keeps winning the longest ponytail competitions at various fairs.
They have made donations to an organisation called as the locks of love. Miss Russel has taught her daughters to braid each other's hair and while at home they all follow the rule of keeping their hair tied up in the kitchen.
Natasha Moreas De Andrade from Rio de Janeiro sold her five feet 2 inches hair for 5000 dollars. Previously, every week she used to spend around four hours to wash her hair and it took an hour and half for her to brush her hair every day. Her shampoo costs were around 600 dollars per year.
She had an uneasy lifestyle because of her long locks. Natasha used to live in a tiny, windowless room but by selling her hair, she contributed well enough to get a better house for her family. Despite of having short hair, everyone in school still keeps calling her by the name of Rapunzel.
Japanese fashion designer, Kazuhiro Watanabe always wanted to be in the Guinness book of world records. His record breaking mohawk measures 3 ft, 8.6 inch.
Mohawk a.k.a Mohican is the hairstyle where the sides of the head are shaven to leave a long band of hair in the center of the head.
Hay was a herbalist by profession and lived in Kien Giang province of Vietnam. Although, he never got them officially measured for a record, his hair measuring about 6.8 inches were believed to be the longest hair in the world. He always used to hang his hair around his neck like a cord. 79-year-old Hay died in the year 2010.
Just seven years old and this pretty girl is all set to raise more than 1,500 pounds for children suffering from cancer.

37- year-old Smita Srivastava from Allahabad, India holds the record for longest hair(documented at 6 ft) in Limca Book of Records. Her long hair have made her popular in her area and even a brand ambassador for various hair oil products.
Smita is still growing her hair and aims to break the Guinness world record for the longest hair in the world.
