Radhika Apte, who?
This was the question that made rounds everywhere in the tinsel town when people just failed to acknowledge the fact that what a bombshell and influential actress she is.
Her appearance in the Indian film industry has been like a speck of equality and sensibility on our speck of judgments, that we obviously tend to make on the basis of certain irrelevant information that we hear from people.
As humans, we don't understand why but we get enchanted with faces, and she is one of those iconic faces who has made us fall in love with her talent.
Dig into the story to know more about her personal life and we have also got some interesting lesser-known facts about her.
Radhika is the daughter of Pune's leading neurosurgeon and chairman of Sahyadri Hospital, Dr. Charudutt Apte.
She is a scholar and also a graduate in Economics and Mathematics from the esteemed Fergusson College, Pune.
Radhika trained under Kathak exponent Rohini Bhate for eight years. Isn't that a lot?
We want her to share how she managed to do that. Sigh!
Apte made her Bollywood debut with the film 'Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!' in the year 2005. The film also starred Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao.
Her shoots are always on fire, we really appreciate her screen presence and confidence.
The actress got recognition only after her film 'Shor in the city' which was released in 2011.
Soon, after doing four films the actress moved to London to learn contemporary dance and that's when she met someone who changed her life.
But, who was he?
Apte met Benedict Taylor who is a businessman in London and the duo dated for a year and eventually tied the knot in 2012. Sadly, the couple isn't spotted together that often.
Radhika was in controversies for her film 'Parched' in which she went completely nude, and it created a lot of buzz in Bollywood. Even before this, it was reported that she had shared her nude selfie.
On being asked about the same controversy Radhika gave a reply that made the reporter apologise to her.
This was her statement, "If you get out of your cocoon and look at what people are doing abroad are not ashamed of their own bodies, you will probably not ask me this question. People who are ashamed of their own bodies have a curiosity about other's body. If you want to see a naked body tomorrow, look at yourself in the mirror or yourself, rather than my clip. Then we can talk about it. Is that clear?"
Isn't she simply amazing?
She has worked in films like Badlapur, Manjhi: The Mountain Man, Hunterrr, Postcard, Kabali, and many more.
She will be seen with none other than Khiladi Kumar, Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor in her next film Padman.
She was seen wearing an embroidered lehenga with a crop top. The actress completed her look with a beautiful neck piece by Razwada jewels and a handcuff by Ghana Singh.
Indeed a great message to deliver.
That's all, people.
