It is very easy to accept and love beauty and perfection, but it takes balls to be a part of imperfection and to accept it whole heartedly.
As they say, "we all are God's children and we all deserve to be get treated equally," and life would have been full of happiness and bliss if we could have understood this simple theory of life.
In the present era, where we have lost ourselves in the hullabaloo of life, all we know is competing with each other and judging each other on the basis of color, caste, and gender.
But there are some people around us who are special children of God. Yes, they are special by all means. Despite being different from being normal, they never ever allowed this 'difference' to hinder their way to the success.
Here's a tale of a girl, who was criticised. A girl who was ridiculed and a girl who faced hatred for being what she actually is. But she was backed by her dreams and had a zeal to make it big in life. She is Nitasha Biswas, India's first ever transgender beauty queen and here's something you need to know about her life.
On 28th August 2017, India's first ever transgender beauty pageant took place in Gurgaon. Yes, surely one of the best initiatives taken for LGBT community, the event had a plethora of talent and proved to be a great start for transgenders to make a way to their dreams.
The beauty with brains to her way to the queen's crown was Kolkata's Nitasha Biswas and here are many things you need to know about her.
A 26-year-old transwoman from Kolkata who turned her dreams into reality and is now all set to make it big in life. Nitasha was crowned as India's first Transqueen on August 28th but her life so far hasn't been a bed of roses.
While talking to a leading website 'The Better India', Nitasha shared about the troughs and crests she went through during her battle to pursue her dream and desires.
"From a very young age, I knew I was a gender dysphoria. I knew I wanted to change this, but at the same time, I knew I needed to complete my basic education."
Nitasha lost her mother when she wasn't mature enough to deal with the adversities of life, and that was the time when Nitasha embarked on her journey full of struggles.
"It wasn't really easy for my father to accept that my son is different from others and what made him shatter was my decision of going through a transformation. He was hurt and was so annoyed that he didn't talk to me for more than six months. And that was the toughest time of my life, when I needed my loved one the most. But didn't have my family beside me."
The transformation wasn't a child's play and was really very painful for Nitasha.
"When I was undergoing the transformation, there was a phase when I had both male and female attributes, and it wasn't possible for me to even step out of my house."
Nitasha was always a bright student. Soon after completing her management studies, she decided to make a move to Delhi and opt for a degree in fashion.
When she made her way to Delhi, she decided to take up modelling and soon started her journey as a model an year ago.
Nitasha's went through depression, sadness and sorrows through her way up to success. She lost her friends and family when she decided to prove herself.
Nitasha is now on cloud nine and has pledged to make things better for others going through the pain. This is just the beginning for Nitasha as she is going to represent India at the Miss International Trans Queen 2017.
The very inspiring, the very beautiful and the very talented Nitasha who is blessed with a heart of gold said,
"Let's learn to be humane. Gender is not something that is defined by what is in between your legs. Gender is just a notion in our minds. I was nurtured and brought up by my father who played both the gender roles – he was a mother and a father to me."
