Secret societies are the organizations whose activities, events, and inner functioning are hidden from the non-members. There were many secret societies in the history and conspiracy theories about them. Some secret societies were formed for the welfare of the humankind and some to support the wars. Many of those colonies have become extinct while some societies were successful in maintaining their existence in the world. 

These secretly formed societies have contributed a lot in providing the right direction to the world by fighting for the gender discrimination, women and child empowerment. The Hashshashin(origin of the word assassin) was the mysterious band of Muslim assassins that operated in the middle east during the 13th century. The society was formed by Shia Muslims, who got together with the purpose to capture a utopian Shi'ite state. The number of members of the society was small so the group used Guerrilla warfare tactics in the battle against their enemies. The society became well-known contract killer in the history. The Hashshashin was finally eradicated by Mongol Empire in 14th century.

The society was founded in 1832. There was a dispute between Yale debating societies Linonia, Brothers in Unity and the Calliopean Society over Phi Beta Kappa awards. Skull and Bones receives a mention in the global conspiracies that aimed to dominate and rule the world in the past.

There are also plans for children, including an Ethical Child Savings Plan, Child Tax Exempt Savings Plan and Ethical Child Trust Fund.

The colony was established to promote liberty and to defy the dictatorship of the English crown. The native Americans follow their rituals even at the present. It was founded on December 16, 1773, the secret society protested the tax on tea imposed by England. Throughout the Revolutionary War, members of the Red Men joined the Continental Army to defy the English crown.

The Knights of the Golden Eagle society was founded in Baltimore, Maryland in 1873 with the objective of a welfare of the human kinds. It has 20,000 members from 20 states actively worked for unemployed, physical or mental handicaps, widows and orphans. The president of the society was William McKinley. He maintained the social, moral and intellectual feelings in its members and promoted their welfare.

The existence of KGE was ended up by one of its members who assassined the President William McKinley. During world war-II, the members of society left it, making it gradually extinct. Historians found that Knights of the Golden Eagle was one of the secret societies that had many members around the world before WWII.
