Despite the various cases of women hatred in the world, ladies are treated as an idol for worship during certain instances and occasions. Even in the 21st century, women in India are burnt alive, beaten, imprisoned, starved and raped. They've ever been forced into accepting things in the name of superstitions and religion.
But you know in between all this, what is the biggest irony? People worship the same man who did all these bad deeds on a woman. A recent case to exemplify here is that of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Did someone ever do so much violence when Nirbhaya died back in 2012? Is this justifiable what people are doing in favour of that man who raped a Sadhvi in the name of religion?
The man who has got the support in millions while a letter has already been disclosed in front of everyone. I couldn't imagine how merciless people can go just in the race of blind trust on a rapist. Let's try to understand the process that clearly showcases the double face of our society.
A fake Godman who raped a Sadhvi in the name of blind belief that people have on him. And now what? He's been sentenced 10 years of a life sentence. And what his followers did? Even after the release of the letter by the Sadhvi that was covered in the newspaper in 2002. The journalist was murdered. What a shame that all this has come in the eyes of the court and people after 15 years. And still, people are protesting for this fake personality like worshipping God.
One such similar case that took place in another region of India. Self-styled Godman, Parmanand Tiwari alias Ram Shankar Tiwari of Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh was arrested after he was exposed for making sex videos with women devotees seeking children.
He raped a 14-year-old girl who was then in Class X. She lodged the complaint on August 20, 2013, in Delhi, accusing Asaram of raping her at his ashram in Jodhpur. A month later, Asaram was arrested. But what did people do? Instead of supporting the girl, they continued to worship the fake man in the name of God.
Meet the menstruating Goddess, Kamakhya Devi, nestled high up on the Nilachal Hill, in the West of Guwahati, Assam. On the one hand, people die to have her Ashirwad, and on the other hand, menstruating women are not allowed inside the temple. Why? Isn't it the biggest hypocrisy?
That's all, folks!
