India and Pakistan are two sisters from the same mother. On August 14, 1947, and August 15, 1947, India and Pakistan got their independence after facing over two centuries of oppression from the Britishers. The two countries have been divided by borders but are united by hearts. We love our Pakistani brothers and sisters, and we know for a fact that they love us too. Unless it's an India vs. Pakistan match in either cricket or hockey, but that's another matter.
So, on the event of 70th Independence Day, we at WittyFeed would like to show you how the two sister nations celebrate the day in their respective nations. There are differences in colors, there are differences in mini flags, there are differences in colored cars, but one thing in common between us is love. Above all the troubles, the differences, the tensions, it's love which emerges on top and will continue to do so for eons to come.
Note: The thumbnail is for representational purposes only and means no harm to either of the nation.
Both citizens rocking the colors of their respective nation. There's a certain happiness attached to Independence Day and not only it comes from the fact it's a public holiday, it also comes from the fact that it's celebrated in such style in both of the nations.
Barring cricket, not many opportunities come around where two nations can go out in their cars with the flags.
The India Gate and the Lahore Fort, both in their incredible colors, celebrating what it's like to be independent for 70 years.
The proud flags hoisted at the Red Fort and Minar-e-Pakistan looks beautiful.
What's an Independence Day without those lovely mini flags? As a kid, there was no better feeling than waving those flags in all your innocence.
Every kid would have fond memories of their Independence Day celebrations, the parades, the National Anthems and the laddoos distributed after them.
What a sight! The colors, the vibrance, the lights being put on. Both the nations putting their best step forward to promise for an unforgettable night.
The lights at CST look amazing but the night lights in Pakistan just leave a different kind of impact on your mind.
Remember waking up at 7 AM to catch a glimpse of the parade on DD National? The wonderful days, the PM's address, the little kids there. Just wow!
There's one thing getting out in a car with a flag, there's another thing making your car one. Which according to you did a better job?
So there you have it.
On behalf of WittyFeed, we like to wish a happy Independence Day to the citizens of both the nations.
