No laughter of children, no smiling faces and no charming ambience at all, only silence. Some amazing water parks around the world are now abandoned and bare. They have turned scary now.
Did you know about these parks?
Williams Grove was established in 1850 as a picnic spot but later on it was developed into a beautiful water park. A 65-foot high coaster with the speed of 45 mph was the center of attraction in the park. The park was closed formally in 2005.
Situated in Shizuoka, Sports World was opened in 1988 and then closed in 1996. The association which built the park got bankrupt and the park was demolished in early 2010. Only a few buildings were left while destroying.
Also known as Rock-A-Hoola, Dolores was the most popular abandoned water park in USA. It was established in 1962.
During its active years, the park had the slogan - ''The Fun Spot of The Desert''. A large number of local people and tourists used to go there for recreation.
Now, Lake Dolores is used for events occasionally.
During its existence, Atlantic Park was so popular among Portuguese. It was one of the major tourists destination in Portugal. But unfortunately, the park was closed in 2007.

Probably the most unfortunate water park. The park area was extended up to 1.7 hectares. In 1997, the park was about to use for the preparation of World Youth Games. But the policy didn't run further. In 2002, the construction works were suspended and left abandoned.
It is also one of the short lived water parks in the earth. L'Aquatic de Sitges was built in early 1990s. The park is said to have run only two seasons. Suffering from the economic deficit, it was closed.
Styx River was run between 1997 to 1993. The park area seems bare and creepy now.
