Stanley Hector, a video journalist and one of the youngest directors in Madhya Pradesh, India along with his buddy filmmakers has chosen a subject for his short film that is one of the significant phases in many people's lives, loneliness.
A mass communication student by training, Stanley is pretty hopeful about the concept of this short film, 'Midnight at Two'.
It looks both, intriguing and grasping when you see it for the first time.
Midnight at Two is a short film that portrays a fleeting moment between two strangers who experience that they're not alone. The story moves ahead revealing that there's someone out there going through the same problems as you are, even if you don't know about it.
Arjun, the writer of Midnight at Two shares "Stanley and I came across a guy and girl, both of them were standing on their balconies, staring into the abysmal moonlit sky. Instantly the idea clicked our mind about how beautiful it'd be if these two could find peace in one another, and that's how we both started this project."
It took them six months to convert the idea into concept and concept into a story; the duo created a story they're confident with. Dialogues, character development, they worked on every aspect of the script. And then soon with the help of buddy filmmakers, they completed the shoot in schedules.
"Midnight at Two is more than a film. It is an emotion that most of us have experienced. Human beings, being social animals are on the constant look out for a companion that they can rely on. A friend who will share their worries, desires, joys and shortcomings. But, with materialistic development engulfing us, we fail to feel those emotions and to express the need of wanting someone to find solace in," shares Stanley.
These young filmmakers want to take this film to the next level by giving it a proper musical and production treatment, as they see this movie has the capability of winning major film festivals. They've spent all the budget they could on this project.
"Since the film is made for the 'crowd', it makes more sense to make them the real owners of the movie. Besides, having a wider range of funders, it will help the film reach a broader set of the audience rather than having one specific production house that will host its screenings," shares Stanley.
Starring Payal and Girik in lead roles, 'Midnight at Two' is Directed by Stanley Hector, Written by Arjun Banerjee, Videographed by Ashay, Post-Production by Sourav Yadav while Music has been done by Swapneel Mahindre.
All of these hustlers are trying to make something creatively beautiful that will inspire people and generations. All they need is a little support from you. Do support Midnight at Two, because you never know, who may become the next big thing in Bollywood among these.
That's all, folks!
