Mike Lopez, a man in Florida, revealed to NBC affiliate that Maria Lopez, his sister made an unusual discovery while cleaning his grandfather's attic. She found a simple wooden box containing fierce mummified hand, coins, and a treasure map. She also got the old wedding photo of their grandparents.
The coins are said to be of Spain and Portugal from the 18th century and the map of the Hillsborough river from the year 1980 is quite possibly the route to some hidden treasure. Mummified hand wearing a ring is a big intricate mystery.
Mike Lopez stated that this hand is real and belongs to the Tampa Bay pirate legend Jose Gaspar. But it's just a belief.
There are several stories related with pirate legend Jose Gaspar and the lost treasure. Some people believe that Jose Gaspar never actually existed. While there are people who claim that he was one of the few crew members to escape a fateful attack by American pirate hunting schooner USS Enterprise in 1821.
He said that in his childhood, his grandfather used to tell him stories of a man who found the treasure of Tampa Bay.
But, at the same time several local antique stores describe that things of the box are gruesome and genuine.
