Mumbai court has sentenced five years of imprisonment to Salman Khan for killing a beggar in a 2002 hit-and-run incident in Mumbai where along with the beggar four others were also injured. Right after the court's announcement, Salman was seen crying. It is expected that Salman will appeal against the verdict.

September 2002: Salman's car runs over five homeless people sleeping on a street in Mumbai; one was killed and four others got injured.
October 2002: He was charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. He was arrested but was soon granted bail.
May 2003: Court rejects his plea to drop the case.
June 2003: Bombay high court drops culpable homicide charge.
October 2007: Prime witness(Saman's security guard) dies
March 2015: Khan appeals the court that he was not drunk.
May 2015: Finally Salman is found guilty and is sentenced to jail for five years.
