The story of a world-record holder!
Every human on this planet has different needs, but there's this one thing that is needed by everyone, and no one can deny that, the need to travel and see the world. We dream about going to new places to observe the heavenly beauty of the lands where we have never been, to meet people we have never met before. Traveling is a thing which doesn't have a need to be explained, it is no more thought of as just going from a place to another, it's a vibe now.
The most trending form of traveling in today's era is a road trip.
In road trips, we definitely anticipate the adventures that will come in our way, but most of the times, it is the hardship and the exertions that we think we will face during our travels that stop us from doing it. Well, is it the right excuse to give when we are fully equipped with every gift that God can give us?
Here's the story of a 35-year-old double amputee man who has created history by traveling solo all around the country.
Gota Satish Kumar, a double amputee who has now created history by setting up a new world record to his name with a trip that has inspired many across the whole country.
But what inspired him to do this task?
Let's have a look at it.
A sportsperson by heart, G. Satish Kumar lost both his legs at the age of 26 while getting down from a train, as he tripped, resulting his legs getting stuck in the space between the train and the platform.
This accident sent him into depression. When he saw other people standing up on their feet and doing their chores, all that Satish could think about was giving up.
So how did he recovered from this depression?
While going through some news, Satish read a report on a teenage suicide over an utterly insignificant issue. This made him think how beautiful gift getting a life is.
After he read the report of a teenage suicide, Satish decided that he will give life a second chance as helped himself with a new pair of prosthetic legs.
But from where did the idea to travel came to his mind?
Satish always wished to meet new people and to explore the things around him, this wish gave him an idea to go on a road-trip.
Always fancied by the idea of travelling, Satish started learning to ride scooty and gradually learned how to ride a bike with his prosthetic legs as he didn't like to travel in buses and trains. As of now, he wants to see and understand how his body reacts to bike riding and the journey
After getting inspired Satish decided to go on a road-trip.
"Ability and disability are just human perceptions. If I can do it, anyone can," says Satish as he aims to set an example for the rest of the world.
Satish has received tremendous support from his family and friends, both emotional and financial. His wife has been his strength and is the sole reason behind the kick starting of this journey.
A gold loan against jewelry was taken out by his mother and wife to ensure that Satish had the financial capability to start off his trip.
After completing the all-India trip, Satish aims to climb Mount Everest. As of now, he wants to see and understand how his body reacts to bike riding throughout this journey.
Satish who could have simply owned the record to his name by completing 16,000 kms in the disabled category but instead, he went for 50,000 kms, telling us about his golden heart which is filled with willpower.
Tollywood actor, Pawan Kalyan after hearing the story of Satish got touched and to fulfill Satish's wish he contributed a sum of Rs. 5 lakh for his road-trip throughout India.
The rider won the Guinness world record as he completed 50,000 km long journey solo. Satish has a new goal now, he aims to climb Mount Everest in the near future.
