We all love celebrities and tend to worship them as we would immortal Gods and Goddesses, even though we know deep down inside us that this type of adoration is wrong. Back in 2001, actress Sharon Stone had a stroke and as a result of this suffered a ruptured aneurysm and cerebral bleeding that lasted nine days. The long-term effects of all this included impaired speech, an inability to read and limping. However, she managed to overcome her afflictions and starred in movies again less than five years later. After beating her ailments, Sharon set out to help and support people who are seriously ill and in 2013 she received the Nobel Peace Summit Award for her great contributions to charity.
