Transfer Market hasn't even started and clubs are well underway doing their business. Manchester City, for example, has signed Bernardo Silva while Manchester United is reportedly 'close' to signing Antoine Griezmann. While all these clubs are up and running, Liverpool is still contemplating on whether to bid on certain players or not.
For example Van Dijk. Liverpool has been chasing the center back for quite some time but are yet to put an offer on the table for the center back. There's a lesson to be learnt from the Manchester clubs i.e. when a high profile player enters the transfer market, you must be quick to react or else the player will get out of hand. And when a superstar 30-goal a season striker enters the market, you should really go all guns blazing after him. Which brings us to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Aubameyang has stated his desire to leave Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool, considering the striking woes they have, are put on high alert.

Liverpool since the departure of Suarez has struggled in the striking department which is quite shocking considering the pedigree they have. Torres, Suarez, Rush, Fowler are all part of Liverpool's rich strikeforce. Sturridge cannot seem to shake off his injury concerns while Origi's decision making and first touch still need brushing up.
Liverpool are finally back in the Champions League - only for the second time in eight years but this time around, they have ambitions to stay. Although there is no doubting Klopp's managerial skills, the same cannot be said of the strikeforce i.e. whether they can show the same panache and swagger in Europe or not.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of the most devastating strikers in Europe. Aubameyang is one of the fastest players in the world, combine that with the intelligence he has to play on the shoulder of the defender along with the right timing of runs, you get a 30 goal a season striker who can play in any league.
With 31 goals in Bundesliga, he finally managed to do what he set out to do at the start of the season i.e. beat Bayern's hitman Robert Lewandowski for the top spot in Bundesliga goalscoring chart. Aubameyang is the first Borussia Dortmund player to be the top dog in Bundesliga since 2014 when Robert Lewandowski won that honor in Dortmund's stripes.
The reason behind Aubameyang joining Liverpool seeming so lucrative is because the striker was once managed by Jurgen Klopp, the current Liverpool manager during his Borussia Dortmund days. Klopp knows the system, he knows Aubameyang's playing style and he knows how perfectly he fits in that system. All it remains to be seen is whether Liverpool would be willing to make a concrete offer for the striker or not.
According to German newspaper Bild, Aubameyang at 27 is running out of time to add winners medals to his resume and that's why made the apparent decision to leave Dortmund. Considering his age and talent, Dortmund won't take anything less than £55 million for the striker.
