''I will fall ill on May 26th,'' ''Boss, I have my daughter's parents-teachers' meet on May 26th,'' ''Dude, you need to catch me at my place on 25th night for a very important event'' and many more excuses followed...
26th May 2017 became Sachin-Day for at least a billion people for the master-blaster carried their dreams on his shoulders for 24 long years, giving his blood, sweat & what not. So, it was obvious when people got to know about the releasing date of Sachin: A Billion Dreams that they had to make sure they are free on the D-Day. And for that, craziest of the excuses followed.
Unfortunately, a hundred of Delhiites who were actually fortunate enough to get free to watch the movie on its releasing date and get the tickets on time, got unlucky due to this one reason. Let me give you a chance to sympathize with them.
A beautiful morning in Delhi's Saket area turned out to be a heated one when something went wrong in the PVR theater. Sachin's fans, all amped up, entered the show that was to start sharp at 8:40 am (First day first show) only to find a big disappointment that left them dull and angry.
If Sachin is opening, nothing can get bad! And the movie, of course, is one of the best biopics we'll see in the recent times. The National Anthem played followed by those evergreen commercials and everything was looking normal.
So what was that went wrong?
So? Can Shane Warne not be in the beginning of the movie? Well, we are not doubting this and neither did the people who were watching the movie.
Yeah, I know it pained and it pained even more when it was an 'INTERVAL' after a mere 15 minutes into the runtime of the movie. Salman's Tubelight's trailer fused the onlookers' mind.
Epic shit! What was wrong?
This is exactly what an understandably furious audience asked the PVR staff present there. And man, the on-duty staff's response was nothing you can hope.
A Bengaluru theatre played the 2nd half of the movie first and it really forced the audience to turn into a mob, which they thankfully didn't.
So did the same happen to Sachin's biopic as well?
Mr Avdhesh Sharma who went to PVR Anupam contacted WittyFeed and reported the whole situation on call. He told that ''The movie played from the middle and we guessed this because the interval came just after 10-15 mins of its beginning. Nobody was able to make a guess of something going wrong because it is a documentary and it looked normal to us. The scene having Shane Warne was supposed to come after a good 40-50 minutes but it came in the start. When the disappointed audience went to complaint the staff, Mr Ankit (PVR Staff) took them to Ms Shimla Rajput who accepted that even they were clueless about the mishap. All this chaos led to a good 40-45 mins delay in the movie time's ending (12 pm).''
Of course not, but it did affect a hundred people who were all excited to watch the movie (they had to again see the 15-min reel of the movie).
Sad, and as if this was not enough, the PVR staff was hardly apologetic as reported by the man.
Wait, we have something for you...
WittyFeed came up with an amazing movie review of Sachin's biopic that you must not miss in case you are still to watch the movie.
