Meet Sunder Sriram from Chennai, a fashion photographer and actor. When loneliness took over him mentally, he decided to challenge it and how? Sunder decided to go on 365 dates this year, out of which he has already been on 110 dates. Well, his idea is for sure creative but the reason behind is far more interesting to know.
Sounds weird? Not really, this guy has some awesome plans ahead. At the end of each month, he sponsors meals for a NGO and its residents.
Sunder justifies that his idea is not to look for a romantic relationship or search for an ideal partner for the near future. Its not even for a defined purpose, it is something which the women understands and that's why they agree to be a part of it.
The lady collects garbage at his building and they both had a simple meal which was cooked by the lady. They had their date on top of a sewage tank, the place where the lady has her food daily.
Shriya Saran also took Sunder on a date and the experience was obviously wonderful for him.
The old lady of 105 years hailed from a village near Pondicherry. Sunder drove for almost 10 hours just to be with her.
Sunder reveals that there are times when the date is over and the two indulge in some activities like shopping or even a simple walk . For instance, a women took him for fishing activity once their date was over. Well, here is a photo of RJ Suchitra, who took him on a date.
Men can participate in the cause for sponsoring meals to NGO.
Two people are never similar, everyone he has been on a date with are different from each other and he is glad about it. That makes it more interesting as he can meet different kinds of people and the experience is every time something new. In the pic - Vijaykumar Lakshmi, Bengaluru based dancer and choreographer had taken him out on a date.
The idea is not to go to a date every day but to meet new people and 365 is just a number. There are days when he skips the activity, though rare but he doesn't want the experience to be a forced date. Similarly he goes on two dates on one particular day, if he is free. In the pic actress Aishwarya had prepared lovely cupcakes for the date.
Unlike other photographers, Sunder refrains from the idea of carrying his camera with him while he is on dates. Camera is a distraction and the ultimate purpose is lost if one ends up clicking pictures.
The journey is beautiful and Sunder has plans of penning down his experiences and moulding the words into a book. He also has plans of making a film around his experience.
