Yes, you've read that right!
On 24 May 2017, Brad Pitt silently arrived in India for the promotion of his upcoming film, War Machine. And guess what? He had been interviewed by none other than Indian superstar, Shah Rukh Khan.
Both of them had a great time together, and trust me; their conversation was more appealing and intriguingly exciting than Justin Bieber's concert at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
After all, you don't get to see a spectacle like this every day. Two superstars in the same room. No matter if Brad had come to India for promoting his film, our King Khan has his own charm of hosting Hollywood celebrities.
As soon as the conversation started, the first thing that Shah Rukh asked Brad Pitt was not about his film, but about Hollywood superstar's take on Indian cinema, especially what was his perception towards dance. And Brad Pitt's reply to this question was as impressive as you could imagine.
"I wouldn't make it in Bollywood; I can't dance," said Brad Pitt feeling embarrassed. To this SRK chuckled and replied, "we can make anyone dance."
Shah Rukh Khan even demonstrated to Brad Pitt how easy it is to do 'jiggy-wiggy' in Bollywood style. "I just spread my arms and do nothing, that's a step," said Shahrukh.
Hollywood star Brad Pitt's visit to India was kept very secretive, and so was his session with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan because organizers were aware of the fact that both of them have a huge fan following in India.
After all, Brad Pitt's special session in Mumbai for the promotion of War Machine with SRK has given all of us so much to talk about.
At one instance, he asked "How long does it take to complete Bollywood film?" and SRK replied, "it depends, sometimes 70 days, and even 40 days; if everything goes right."
When Khan brought up the matter of singing up in the film, Brad Pitt said: "I can't sing either" and to this Shah Rukh replied, "I don't do it either, someone else sings behind me." and everyone in the audience started laughing out loud.
"In Tree of Life, I had to play musical instruments, and I couldn't get the piano, so what they was, they got a guy who could play the piano, his hands looked like mine and all I did for the camera was make expressions like I am playing it," NDTV quotes Brad Pitt.
At one point, he talked about technology and said, "I have said this in the past and I say it again, we have to catch up, Hollywood has done wonderful things that we can learn from. The good thing is that the language barrier is not there anymore."
He added further, "We have wonderful stories to tell but we are not telling them. We have to change the way of presenting. Somehow we have to get technology in."
"My best 2 David & Brad for the release of War Machine on @netflix Pleasure to meet u both & Brad the dance remains."
