If Cricket is a religion in India, Sachin is the God. It has been said time and time again and why not? Sachin is someone who emerged in an era where the nation wasn't at its best and carried the hopes of a billion people on his shoulders for 26 years until finally, in a befitting manner, retired at the place where it all began for him.
Sachin Tendulkar is not just a cricketer, he's a family member, we could never experience time standing still, but when Sachin was on the crease with a bat in his hand, it felt like so. There was a narrative to Sachin which every person could relate to. Sachin is the epitome of hard work, and quite like the American dream, Sachin personified the Indian dream, work till you achieve your goals.
And to celebrate his success, his life, his biopic was premiered on 24th May in Mumbai, and the guest list was star-studded, to say the least.
The movie focuses on the life of the god of cricket Sachin Tendulkar, his journey, from a kid practicing cricket at Shivaji park Mumbai to lifting the World Cup at Wankhede stadium, Mumbai, and everything in between. Directed by award-winning director, James Erskine, the movie is surely set to be a blockbuster just like Sachin's career.
Speaking of blockbuster, the organizers arranged a blockbuster of a red carpet event for the biopic. Take a look yourself.
Here we can see Sachin mimicking his childhood pose.
All were in a hurry to see what the God looked like on screen.
Raju Rastogi came a long way since graduating from ICE we reckon.
Here we can see Zaheer Khan and Ajay Jadeja with their wives respectively.
Sushant who played the role of MS Dhoni in his biopic 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story' was there too.
A.R. Rahman also is the musical producer of Sachin's biopic.
Do we even need to say something?
