Liverpool football club has qualified for the Champions League for the second time in 8 years and they just don't want to end there. They are looking forward to not only participate in the competition like their London counterparts Arsenal does but also go far ahead in the competition, something which English clubs cannot seem to do these days.
Liverpool did manage to qualify for the Champions League, however, with the current defense and goalkeeping woes they virtually have no chance to move ahead. Firstly they have leadership issues, no player in the current starting XI has a great Champions League pedigree and secondly, their leaky defense doesn't help their cause either. But what if Liverpool can sign one player, just one player who can address both the concerns?
Enter Iker Casillas, the Real Madrid legend who's been a winner throughout his career and has been constantly ranked amongst the top three goalkeepers in world football. Casillas has been approached by Liverpool and according to sources, has a pre-contract agreement already with them!

Casillas, after spectacularly falling out with Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho and the management from thereon and as a result was sold to FC Porto - the Portuguese giants.
Here's a stat, despite being 36 years of age, Casillas has just conceded 16 goals in the Portuguese league, showing us exactly what he's made of. Indeed class is permanent.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, a pre-contract agreement has already been reached between Liverpool and Casillas as the goalkeeper still feels that he's got what it takes to compete at the top level and Liverpool's added boost of being in the Champions League helps his cause.
It seems Jurgen Klopp has fallen out of favor with Simon Mignolet as the Belgian has been at fault for quite a few goals Liverpool conceded this season. With the introduction of Casillas, Liverpool could be adding solidarity as well as experience, something which will be useful in the Champions League.
Casillas has one more year on his contract but it seems that he's made a decision to join Liverpool as Liverpool will be providing a better opportunity for him to advance in the Champions League. It remains to be seen is what fee will the two clubs agree on if any.
