Interestingly, Mehreen even did not know how the audition for the role happened. She was at the production house where nobody asked her to give audition. She was just there with her jovial and talkative self, chatting with people sitting around.
After a couple of days, she was asked to come back where she was told that she had been selected. Later when she was introduced to Anshai Lal, the director of Phillauri, she was shocked to know it was with him she had chatted most of the time. The director chose her for confidence and casualness.
Mehreen had done her initial schooling from Ajmer Mayo College and passed her board exam from Pathways World School, Gurugram (Gurgaon).
She is also a trained Bharatanatyam Dancer and believes that dance gives her peace of mind. It also makes her feel herself.
