Rock Announces That He Is Running For President In 2020 And Chooses an Equally Awesome 'Running Mate'!

We don't know if they were serious or joking,  but there are speculations in the air that Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock is planning to run for The Presidency in the year 2020. The former wrestler-turned-Hollywood-actor might actually consider giving up his high paid job as an actor and run for President! The American political process has become nothing less than a wrestling match and that is amazing.

After hosting Saturday Night Live for the fifth time on the 20th of May, The Rock 'officially' announced that he was thinking of running for the American elections in the future.

It all peaked when there was a profile that said "Dwayne Jhonson for President" in GQ and he didn't deny it.

In fact, he chose Tom Hanks as his running mate for Vice Presidency as a joke! Their match was something made in a chemical lab and very well appreciated by the public.

During the monologue, they said...

Rock For President

"In the past, I would have never thought of running for President," said Johnson during the opening monolog. "But now, I'm actually worried I'm too qualified."

"The truth is, America needs us," joked Hanks. "No one can seem to agree on anything anymore, except for two things."

"Pizza," interrupts Johnson, "and us!"

See? They already look like the best duo.

Rock For President

"I mean, I've been in two movies where a plane crashes," says Hanks, "and people are still excited to see me on their flight."

Could this be the future?

Rock For President

Whether it is true or not, there might be a great possibility that The Rock might actually think of spending some time in the future towards the elections and give up his job as one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood. Only time will tell.

Here's the monologue.

Would you want to see The Rock as a President?
